Spencer Pratt -- Animal Rights Crusader?

But, the former reality TV star shelved the idea after listening to the finished product -- unfortunately however, not before the song was 'leaked' all over the internet.

Always quick to spot a red hot promotional opportunity, animal rights group PETA heard about Pratt's aborted attempt to become a rapping KFC spokesperson and challenged the 27-year-old to cross over to the other side, by recording an anti-KFC rap instead.

In an email exclusively obtained by Radar Online, PETA Senior Vice President Dan Matthews writes: "Dear Spencer, Instead of rapping about KFC's wings, why not speak up for the chickens who are scalded to death for the colonel?

"As you can see in this video hosted by Pamela Anderson, chickens who are killed for KFC live their entire lives mired in their own waste and filth, only to be shackled upside down by their fragile legs and have their throats cut while they are still conscious.

After watching the video, please consider recording a PETA campaign tune for our Kentucky Fried Cruelty campaign. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Dan Mathews, Senior Vice President."

Meantime, it's somewhat of a turnaround for the animal rights activist group. They once lambasted avowed hunter Spencer and his wife Heidi Montag for choosing to buy a pure breed dog rather than adopt from a shelter.

Lea Michele: Horses Don't Belong In Traffic

Glee star Lea Michele is sticking up for her four-legged friends that are forced into pulling carriages in major cities across the United States.

Michele, who is joining PETA in the fight against cruelty to animals, tells the animal rights organization:
"Imagine for a moment that you're forced to do hard physical labor all day, seven days a week—whether it's sweltering hot or freezing cold outside. At the end of the day, instead of relaxing on [an] easy chair or sleeping in a comfortable bed, you are locked in a tiny closet all night long."
According to PETA, these horses "are forced into dangerous traffic, where they develop respiratory ailments from inhaling exhaust fumes and debilitating leg problems from pounding the hard pavement."

Stephanie Pratt Talks Lady Gaga's Meat Dress

You say old news, we say the meat dress that keeps on giving.

Hit or miss, it was one of the biggest fashion moments of the year. So we couldn't pass up the opportunity to ask PETA supporter - Stephanie Pratt - what she thought about Lady Gaga's butcher-shop couture.

"In this day and age there's so many publicity stunts with celebrities. They need to do that kind of stuff."

The reality star seemed more turned off by Gaga's crazy fashion sense than the fact that she was all dolled up in cow.

"I actually left before she came out in that," Steph fessed. "But I would never wear that. Not only because it's meat carcasses but it wasn't my favorite. She should give [all the meat] to homeless people."
