Was Paris Hilton Stiffed By The Hard Rock?

http://www.radaronline.com/sites/radaronline.com/files/imagecache/350width/wenn5467464.jpgGetting Paris Hilton to make an appearance at a Vegas nightclub doesn't come cheap, Radar Online has learned. A lawsuit filed in Clark County District Court Thursday claims that the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Sin City didn't pay Paris her $100,000 per appearance fee for two of her three 2009 dates there.

Los Angeles attorney Joseph Shapiro filed the suit, saying he has been assigned the $200,000 claim by Hilton, reports Las Vegas Inc.

What's most interesting about the case though is the detailing of the perks that came along with Hilton's $100,000 fee.

For each appearance, Paris and up to five members of her entourage were flown from Los Angeles to Vegas in a private jet, Gulfstream 4 or comparable! They were taken by limo from the airport to the Hard Rock where Paris was put up in a suite and her five guests were each given standard rooms.

Paris was also entitled to dinner for 10 at Nobu on Friday night and at one of the Hard Rock's other restaurants on Saturday night.

For her appearance at Rehab, the hotel's poolside club, Paris was entitled to the use of an "owner's cabana," including food and drinks.

Security plus hair and make-up was also provided.

Nice work if you can get it...and get paid.

Britney Spears' Former Nanny To Re-File Lawsuit

http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/2009/07/custom_1247828785161_britney-spears-rules__oPt.jpgThe former nanny who's suing Britney Spears for thousands of dollars in unpaid wages -- whose case was dismissed for failure to serve the pop superstar -- isn't giving up that easily.

Farial Zaltash's attorney, Robert E. Gentino, told Radar Online exclusively that he plans to file a motion in a Los Angeles court this week to vacate the dismissal and says he's confident the judge will grant the request.

"We haven't been able to serve Ms. Spears because she's in a gated compound," said Gentino, referring to the judge's dismissal of the lawsuit March 10.

"Some celebrities just aren't as available to serve."

Zaltash filed suit against the Toxic singer back in October 2010 citing about one month of unpaid wages amounting to nearly $20,000 of work she performed as Spears' personal assistant and nanny back in 2007.

Gentino insists his client and Spears had a contract based on an hourly income. In this case, however, he said it "was not a written contract."

"She (Zaltash) was there sometimes close to 24 hours," Gentino said. "She worked a lot of days and a lot of hours."

Gentino says there are always other ways of serving summons on Spears.

Although they could hire a private investigator, his client "doesn't have the money for that."

His final option will be to publish service on Spears.

"She will be served one way or another," Gentino said. "We won't get this case thrown out."

Paris Hilton No Longer Being Sued By Hairtech

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/08/12/article-1302504-0AC6B0D2000005DC-928_468x634.jpgParis Hilton is no longer being sued by Hairtech International, a manufacturer and distributor of hair extensions, Radar Online has exclusively learned.

The company agreed to dismiss the lawsuit against the hotel heiress after a settlement was reached, and while terms of the deal are being kept confidential, we know that Hilton will not be paying any money to Hairtech as part of the agreement.

Paris tells Radar Online: "I'm thrilled with this result. It is certainly not unusual for business people to have their disagreements, but I am glad that Chris (Volek, Hairtech, Principal) has acknowledged the hard work and dedication I put into promoting his products."

Volek concurs with Paris, and says: "It was only after we got into the case that I realized the information I received from others on which I based the lawsuit was not accurate, and I only wish the best for Paris and her family. As I have told Paris many times, Paris is a true professional and invaluable to the promotion of any product she touches."

Hairtech filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Paris for breach of contract after they claimed she was wearing a competitor's hair extensions.

Hilton then filed her own counter-lawsuit against Hairtech; she too has dismissed her suit.

Christina Aguilera Hit Stolen From 'Moon People'

If Christina Aguilera's hit "Ain't No Other Man" sounds like a classic, that's because its infectious beat comes from a 43-year-old song -- and a new lawsuit claims Sony Music hasn't paid the rightful owner for the sample.

Take a listen (click here) ... Christina's song clearly samples from a 1968 latin soul tune called "Hippy Skippy Moon Strut"(aka "I'll Be a Lucky Man) by Dave Cortez and the Moon People. Gotta love that name.

According to the federal lawsuit, filed in New York, TufAmerica purchased exclusive rights to 'Hippy Skippy' in 2004 ... however Sony Music -- Christina's label -- made a deal with Codigo Music and the Clyde Otis Music Group to use the song.

TufAmerica is asking the court to declare it the rightful owner of the groovy '60s hit ... and to void the other publishers' claims on the song. The company also wants damages -- as in money.

Paris Hilton's Tangled Weave May Cost Her $70M

http://fabulousbuzz.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/paris-hilton-hair-extensions.jpg

Here's the good news -- Paris Hilton is way more marketable than first thought. The bad news ... it could cost her $70 million dollars.

Hairtech International has amended its lawsuit against Paris, claiming she's cost them $70 mil in profits by reneging on her deal to promote and wear its hair extensions.

Hairtech -- which originally sued for $35 mil back in August -- claims Paris pocketed $3.5 mil from the company to endorse the extensions, but screwed them by wearing competing extensions.

Hairtech also claims ... when Paris went to Jail in 2007, she breached the deal by breaking the law.

Back when the suit was filed, Paris' lawyer called the action meritless, so now we're guessing he thinks it's twice as meritless.

Jason Wahler -- Sued For Stiffing Publicist

Former "Hills" star and current "Celebrity Rehab" star Jason Wahler just got slapped with a lawsuit for allegedly owing money to the one person in Hollywood an actor should always pay and never piss off ... his publicist.

According to docs filed this week in LA County small claims court, P3R Publicity claims Wahler breached a contract by failing to make payments to the tune of $5,000.

P3R tells us, "Considering Jason Wahler's track record, P3R is disappointed but not entirely shocked by his lack of honor and irresponsible behavior." They added, "Perhaps his next reality show should be VH1's "Charm School.'"

Calls to Wahler were not immediately returned.

Paris Hilton and Cy Waits: Dan Tana Dinner Date

Sharing a fun evening together, Paris Hilton and Cy Waits were spotted out to dinner in Hollywood last night (November 17).

Hitting up Dan Tana’s restaurant, the “Simple Life” babe and her nightclub guru beau were both smiling as they made their exit.

In legal news, Cy is suing Las Vegas club owner Victor Drai for a cool $3 million, claiming he was never paid for several jobs he did.

According to the lawsuit, Cy and his brother Jesse are citing breach of contract, misrepresentation and deceptive trade practices, and other claims.

Their lawyer told press, "We believe the complaint speaks for itself and in light of the nature of the ongoing litigation, any further comment would be inappropriate at this time.”
